Camera Framings

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

Here are some examples of camera framings I have took myself.

Extreme close up; a close up can be used to show expression. I wouldn't use this shot for my front cover as it wouldn't be suitable.

Close up; a close up can be used to show expression. I wouldn't use this shot for my front cover as it wouldn't be suitable.

Medium close up; meduim close up shows from the waist up, this shot can be good for showing expressions and surrounding feautres. This shot would be too close to use as a magazine front cover.

Long shot; the long would be suitable for my front cover, it shows the surroundings and the whole of the model.

High angle; a high angle can signify a domant model/character for a magazine. I wouldn't use this magazine has it's not suitable.

Low angle; low angle can show how weak and vulnerable a character is. I won't be using this for my college magazine as it is not suitable

Image framed to the left; image to the left screen is the same as a long shot, this shot would be suitable if my contents was positioned to the left of my magazine.

Image framed to the right; this would be suitable if my contents stories will be positioned to the right of the magazine.

Central image; the centeral image would be used for my magazine as its in the frame and i can but my story lines around the image of the model.
