Denotations; signifier what the object means the physical object
Connotations; signified what the object is
From the image above, the connotations are that it is a man with the England
flag smeared across his chest; it looks like a well-known footballer (Wayne Rooney).
He is very enthusiastic and detonates he may have scored. Another denotation
can be that the red flag could be a signifier of blood. It's a medium close up
to show his facial expression. The 'Just Do It' tick is also red to signify
England.
